Rogaine’s New Baby Due in September
Don’t lose sleep over losing your hair. There are a handful of great products out there that are clinically proven to help regrow your hair. I recently met with the friendly folks at Rogaine to discuss their latest addition to their over-the-counter hair loss treatment that is coming out this September. Rogaine foam. That’s right…foam.
Rogaine’s original formulation, using minoxidil, required guys to apply the serum directly to the scalp twice a day before styling their hair. It smelled a little funny and could be messy at times. But guys, being the lazy sort who barely wash their faces more than once a day, weren’t keeping up the treatment, and were therefore not seeing many results. So, to make it easier, Rogaine created a foam that you just work onto your scalp with your fingertips instead of an applicator–eliminating mess and making it much more discreet if you’re using it at the gym. While it looks like styling mousse from the ’80s, it won’t provide any styling help. In fact, it won’t interfere with any other styling products that you use either.
The thing about Rogaine is that you have to use it religiously in order to see results and it can take 2 to 4 months of constant use to see real results. While it’s okay to skip a dose here and there, it’s best to treat it like any other medication. If you stop using it, you will lose whatever hair growth you’ve gained in the past 2 to 4 months.
Rogaine is the only FDA-approved over-the-counter hair loss product, so it’s backed up my tons of clinical studies and scientific data.
