Celebrate Movember & Grow a Mustache!

Halloween is right around the corner, which means it’s time to gear up for the annual facial hair fundraiser for us gents. For the month of November, men around the world let their facial fuzz grow freely to raise awareness (and money) for prostate and testicular cancer.
Beginning November 1st, clean-shaven men will grow, nurture and cultivate mustaches of all shapes and sizes for 30 days.
The idea is that the mustache—still a rare sight among young men despite my efforts to promote them—will spark conversations and spread awareness about cancers that affect men. While the mustache still raises all sorts of associations with porn stars, molesters, 70s rockstars and cops, Movember clears away the negative connotations so guys can grow fuzz with pride.
The Frisky offers a gallery of great looking guys with mustaches to inspire you!
Movember started in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 as a challenge to bring back the moustache. In 2004, the campaign evolved into a fundraising event for prostate cancer, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Movember has since expanded globally, having raised $47 million throughout Australia, New Zealand, UK, US, Canada, Spain and Ireland.
