New York nightlife mainstay and tranny performance artist Amanda Lepore has jumped onto the celebrity fragrance bandwagon. She has launched a fragrance called “Amanda” with notes of champagne, steamed rice, cucumber, strawberry and mandarin…seriously. What did you think Amanda would smell like? [NY Times]

Adidas’ newest line SLVR (it’s eco-friendly, relatively affordable and functional clothing, not a Motorola phone, we swear) has opened a new store in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. [NY Times]

NowSmellThis has a great review of Guerlain’s Mouchoir de Homme (Gentleman’s Handkerchief), a true classic scent (it was created by Jacques Guerlain himself in 1904). Unleash your inner fop and inhale this potent potion. [NowSmellThis]

The Van Wagner billboard company has rejected a new Armani Exchange ad meant for the Meatpacking District in NYC because of a naked man’s behind is visible in the background. Have they never seen the Tom Ford ads with the fragrance bottle wedged between a woman’s thighs and barely covering her vajayjay?
Football star and Gisele-lover Tom Brady admits to his grooming routine. He wears moisturizer and so should you. Be like Tom. [Butterfly Diary via The Cut]

Tom Ford’s ad campaign (shot by Terry Richardson) for his latest fragrance, features a bottle wedged between the dewy thighs and breasts of a woman. Let’s hope the image isn’t indicative of his inspiration for the scent. After all, Ford did compare one of his scents to the smell of sweat on a man’s balls, and New York Magazine found another one of his fragrances to smell coincidentally like cocaine. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise of his latest cologne was inspired by a sweaty bosom or you know what…

This isn’t Ford’s first time flaunting nudity in ads. During his reign at Yves Saint Laurent, he featured full-frontal nudity of a man for the M7 fragrance ad campaign. It seems Ford is back to his old tricks. Welcome back, Tom!

A mysterious new video has popped up on YouTube promoting the release of a new razor. It’s not your average Gillette commercial but a gothic, sci-fi trip. Pour equal parts iRobot, The Fly, Blue Man Group and Dark City into a cocktail shaker with ice. Give it a good shake and out comes this odd video.

While It’s unclear what product is being hawked in the video, my brilliant deduction says it’s probably an electric razor and there will be more news to come in a couple of weeks. Care to guess whose razor it is?

Dove, those friendly folks who make all sorts of products that you use when you’re at your girlfriend’s house, has created a short film to help demystify the whole “goddess in advertising.” While this ad/film is meant to help women feel better about themselves by revealing all the magic and photoshopping of images to make a regular woman blessed with high cheek bones look drop dead gorgeous in an ad or magazine cover, it is also kind of upsetting for the guys who lust after these ultra-perfect ladies (I’m not one of them). So, I am suggesting that guys watch this video, not to flush your fantasies down the toilet but to let you know that the same thing happens to male models; the makeup, the hair styling, the retouching and all that fun. Next time you look at Men’s Health and see that guy with the perfect abs, just remember that they are probably enhanced by your friendly photo retouching genius at a prepress agency.

Â

Guys love stubble. It’s an easy way to look older, edgy or fashionable—or lazy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll admit that I’m in the latter category because I work from home and don’t have to function in corporate America. Are guys sabotaging their love life by skipping the razor?

A new survey performed by the National Organization of Social Crusaders Repulsed by Unshaven Faces(NOSCRUF) and Impulse Research in May showed that women overwhelmingly prefer a clean shaven man to one that’s stubble-ridden. In fact, only 3% of women prefer an unshaven face when making it out with a man. To combat male stubble, NOSCRUF is leading a (fake) revolution by urging women to protest stubble by refusing to shave their armpits and legs.

Are ladies avoiding you? Perhaps it’s your stubble! Just for your viewing pleasure, here are some more stats from the research: The smoothest and scruffiest cities in the country based on how frequently upstanding male citizens shave.

SMOOTHEST

1.	Houston

4.81 times/week

2.	Indianapolis

4.68 times/week

3.	Fort Worth

4.65 times/week

4.	St. Paul

4.64 times/week

5.	Portland

4.52 times/week

SCRUFFIEST

1.	Baltimore

3.65 times/week

2.	St. Louis

3.95 times/week

3.	Seattle Tacoma

4.02 times/week

4.	New York

4.04 times/week

5.	Washington, D.C.

4.12 times/wee

P.S. NOSCRUF isn’t real, it’s a Gillette marketing tool, but the statistics are legit and the site is hysterical. Check out the promotional Dream On, Stubble Boy short film.
